La Zephyr Wing
It is an ultra high-end wing, in Dyneema® and ZL02 Aramid Black, it is made to last.
And to send ! Whether freeriding for its ease, waveriding for its lightness or even speed for its rigidity, the Zephyr Wing has been designed to be versatile and last over time.
Its Dyneema® structure ensures exceptional rigidity and durability while remaining very light. The shape was designed to provide a certain flex on the ears of the wing. This allows you to stay focused and continue to accelerate in full burst, without being destabilized and pulled away.
The Zephyr Wing is the result of a lot of compromises: we wanted to give it a good low end to take off without difficulty but without sacrificing the high range so that when you are overpowered the wing remains completely in control. Its Dyneema® and ZL02 Aramid Black canopy makes it extra light but much more resistant than the spinnaker.
Its switchable handles allow you to choose between soft, semi-rigid, 100% rigid handles or even the carbon boom !
Welcome to the era of next-generation wings !
Possible handle options:
It is possible to order your Zephyr Wing with:
- soft handles,
- semi-rigid handles,
- 100% rigid handles,
- the carbon boom but without inserts in the middle. You can no longer put handles but the wing is also lighter because there are no middle inserts and the corresponding internal reinforcements.
- The carbon wishbone but with the 2 inserts in the middle. This option allows you to put the boom but also to use soft, semi-rigid or 100% rigid handles. When assembling the boom, the 2 center inserts are hidden with dedicated covers.
- Deflate Wing paddle attachments for those who want to Deflate with their Zephyr Wing.
Versatile.
By definition, wingfoiling is a cool sport with flawless simplicity. This is why we worked to release a model that is good in all conditions and disciplines.
After dozens of prototypes and testing different shapes, we converged on a curvature, a dihedral and a profile that allows us to satisfy a maximum of users whatever the conditions.
An excellent low range but without being too difficult to handle in strong winds, a thinner leading edge but not too much so as not to reach excessive inflation pressures. Light but robust at the same time, we are convinced that a good wing is one that can do everything and can cover a maximum of conditions.
Robust.
At the origin of the Zephyr Wing project, comes the desire to create a robust product that does not deform over time. This is why we directly opted for a wing structure in Dyneema® 107 gr/m2 and a canopy in Dyneema CT2K.18 combined with ZL02 Aramid Black. The mechanical characteristics of these materials speak for themselves: a tensile strength of 480 N for the dacron compared to 2150 N for the Dyneema® and the same for the canopy: 275 N for the classic spinnaker compared to 550 N for the ZL02.
A robust wing also means robust seams. We use Serafil Amann offering excellent resistance to abrasion and UV rays. Finally in terms of reinforcement, the wing is armored with internal Dyneema® reinforcements. For example, we find 4 thicknesses of Dyneema® at the handles and even up to 8 thicknesses at the leading edge closure !
Ideal for freeflying.
The Zephyr Wing is the perfect wing for surfing. Being one of the lightest wings on the market, it is completely forgotten when freeflying. Fans of long swell surf descents or even in real rolling waves, the Zephyr Wing allows you to concentrate 100% on your surfing and its trajectories.
In addition, its design with a slight dihedral makes it extremely stable when freeflying and when held by the central handle.
But also for racing !
Large sizes (starting from 5m) are designed for larger riders and are therefore more rigid. Their reinforced structure and canopy allow them to perform very well at high speeds. These are excellent racing sails. Finally, they remain extremely light, which is very enjoyable during maneuvers. You feel absolutely nothing, for example, during a jibe.
The Dyneema CT2K.18 and ZL02 canopy provides remarkable flex on the wings. So, in gusts, the wing absorbs the overload and does not destabilize the pilot.
You can stay focused on your speed and continue to accelerate !

A canopy with an adequate material.
We searched for a material dedicated to the canopy of a wing, a material that could handle all the forces and stress existing on a wing canopy.
Used on high-performance competition sailboats, the ZL02 Aramid Black from Contender Sailcloth offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and an extremely interesting sailing flex.
It is the ideal material for a durable canopy that absolutely does not stretch over time. It is also much more resistant to UV rays and foil stabilizer hits.
Ultra-precise handling.
The Zephyr Wing is a mix of ultra high-end materials. The leading edge and the central strut are made of Dyneema® CT5K.18/blkwov4, a noble material. Extremely robust and stable, it is not necessary to inflate the wing to high pressures to obtain remarkable rigidity.
The result is a wing that deforms very little and therefore precise handling and increased control during navigation. The slightest gust is felt directly and the Zephyr Wing transmits a very precise feeling to its pilot. Riding performances are therefore amplified as you are completely in control of your wing.
The ZL02 Aramid Black.
High performance laminate for beam/large beam edges; Code Zero ZL has proven itself for many years. It is a material used on ultra-performance racing sailboats.
Shape retention and tear resistance are ensured by Aramid rovings laminated in the warp direction (0°) and on the bias (30°). A light taffeta stabilizes the laminate and ensures the longevity of the film.
This construction makes it an excellent laminate for wingfoil canopies.
Soft, semi-rigid, 100% rigid handles or boom... the choice is yours !
Our handle fixing system allows you to quickly change the type of handle used. An 8 socket wrench and you're done in 5 minutes !
More freestyle or slalom? Or even a former windsurfer? Use the carbon boom on your Zephyr Wing. The comfort and ease of navigation provided for the boom is phenomenal !
Are you looking for the ideal wing for surfing ? Opt for soft or semi-rigid handles and lighten your wing for an even more sensational freefly !
The Zephyr Wing comes standard with 100% rigid handles. It is possible to replace them with soft, semi-rigid handles or the boom.
What size to choose?
The range has been designed as follows:
- The 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 are wings for sustained wind. They have a thinner design with more aerodynamic leading edges and central struts to slide better and penetrate the air at high speeds.
- The 4.5 / 5 / 6 / 7 are wings with a better low end for small conditions and more rigid for heavy sizes. They have a thicker design to obtain more power and an overall more rigid structure.
Undyed fabrics.
The fabrics on our wings are kept as they left the factory and are therefore not painted or dyed. All types of Dyneema® used retain their original appearance, highlighting their natural color.
The same eco-friendly approach is used for the ZL02 Aramid Black, where no logo is painted.
This strategic choice is in line with our values and allows us to drastically reduce the consumption of water, energy and CO2 emissions.
A sustainable wing.
At Zephyr Wing, we are aware of the environmental impact that our sport and our passion have. This is why we manufacture our sails in France as close as possible to the user and we source as much as possible with materials manufactured in Europe. The CO2 footprint of our wings is thus significantly lower compared to another wing on the market.
We are proud to be the only brand to master the wing manufacturing in France.
Recycled plastic parts.
All 3D printed parts are manufactured in France by specialized French companies.
These pieces use 100% post-industrial recycled materials incorporated. This initiative not only helps reduce plastic waste, but also supports the circular economy by reusing existing materials.
Bio-based Dyneema®.
Dyneema® is bio-based, which means that part of its composition comes from natural material. By recovering waste from the wood and pulp industries, these bio-based raw materials are mixed with fossil raw materials in the manufacturing process to produce ethylene.
Bio-based Dyneema® has the lowest carbon footprint per unit of strength compared to other synthetic fibers.
A sustainable product.
With the choice of using Dyneema® and ZL02 for "The Zephyr Wing" we are seeking to develop a standard of durability on our products. In fact, with these noble materials, the structure of the wing deforms much less over time and it is therefore possible to keep it much longer than a classic wing. In addition, the design of Zephyr sails is made to use an inflation pressure of around 7 PSI, which is not excessive and also contributes to the longevity of the product.
We are therefore pushing for a responsible consumption model where the user keeps their sail for a long time and does not replace it every season.
